Creating My Own Worlds ❤️
Song Writing: Songwriting has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. I spend hours after hours writing songs. On a dull day, I write around one song, but when I am packed with emotional baggage, I can write up to five. My ideas constantly float in my head, and I continually write songs on many exams! I am currently in the process of producing and creating my first album and I have implemented a lot of genres so far. I am so exciting to be putting this album out soon into this world!
First Solo Gig: My first solo gig was a remarkable milestone in my musical career, taking place at a fundraising event in San Diego in 2024. This performance was particularly special not only because it was my solo debut but also because it showcased my original song called “I give you”. The event was charged with excitement and anticipation, and the response from the audience was overwhelmingly positive, culminating in a standing ovation. This experience was not just about displaying my musical talents but also about the emotional connection forged with the audience through my performance.
2x Singles: Releasing singles is always an exhilarating, but scary experience. The two singles I’ve released so far embody distinct aspects of my musical journey. The two singles are called “I give you” and “Never be ready”.
Song Writing
Composing my own lyrics is an incredibly fulfilling aspect of my musical process. I begin with a concept or emotion that demands expression, turning into words that encapsulate those feelings precisely. This initial step of lyric writing is deeply personal and allows me to delve into unconscious emotions. The beauty of this stage lies in its rawness and authenticity, where I have the freedom to voice my thoughts without filtration, crafting lyrics that are both unique and relatable to others. This is where my musical narratives begin to take shape, setting the foundation for further creative exploration.
The next phase involves trialing these lyrics on the piano. This step is crucial as it allows me to merge my words with melodies, experimenting with different harmonies and rhythms to find the perfect match. Playing the lyrics on the piano helps me to fine-tune the tone of the song. This process is iterative and often challenging, but it is also one of the most creative and exciting parts of song creation. It’s where the song truly starts to come alive.
Once the song takes a more concrete form with lyrics and melody in harmony, I prepare a full draft to take into the studio with a professional producer. This collaboration is a transformative experience that brings a new level of polish to the track. Since then, I have been starting to produce songs by myself. While it is the most challenging step, it is definitely the most rewarding part. After final adjustments and mastering in the studio, the track is ready to be released. Pushing the song out on platforms like Spotify not only marks the culmination of a creative journey but also begins a new chapter where the song finds its place in the world.
First Big Solo Gig
My first solo gig in San Diego was a mix of nerves and excitement, set against the picturesque backdrop of a Pacific Ocean sunset. As I prepared to perform, I was so nervous, and my heart was racing faster each second. The venue was close to the shore, where the gentle breeze carried the fresh scent of the sea. The setting sun painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, creating a perfect ambiance that felt almost surreal. It was a perfect scenery. I sat down, and began to play my first performed single called “I give you.”
Two weeks prior to this performance, I was given a my first guitar. This was the first song I composed on the guitar so it felt very personal to me. While my guitar skills are not very good yet, I plan on dedicating more time to learning this beautiful instrument. As I finished the performance, I looked into the crowd of faces and I felt a huge sigh of relief when I could see people smiling.
My performance was met with a standing ovation, an overwhelming response I hadn’t anticipated. I was filled with a lot of satisfaction. This recognition was not only a validation of my music but also a deeply emotional moment, marking a significant milestone in my journey as an artist.
Regular Gigs
Performing regularly across various venues in California has become a significant part of my musical journey, allowing me to connect with diverse audiences and hone my live performance skills. I relish the opportunity to share my original songs no matter how good or bad they are.
In addition to my own music, I incorporate covers into my setlists, choosing songs that have influenced my musical style or hold personal significance. Covering artists from various genres also allows me to experiment and play with different sounds and arrangements, keeping my performances dynamic and engaging.
The reaction from the crowd, whether they’re silently appreciative or enthusiastically participative, always fuels my performance. It’s exhilarating to feel the immediate feedback of live music, where each applause, cheer, or even reflective silence, feeds back into the energy of the show. Performing live is not just about sharing music; it’s about creating an experience and an exchange between me and the audience, which continues to be incredibly rewarding and inspiring.
